If you want to have a blast and learn about filmmaking then there is no better way than by remaking a scene. From cult classics to Hollywood blockbusters there has been an amazing array of films made in the North and we want to see them all, so grab your phone and fake tache and get re-making!

Remake a Take: DIY Film Challenge

As part of the Remake A Take Project we invited people over the summer to remake scenes from Northern films. Hexham born filmmaker Richard DeDomenici, creator of the acclaimed Redux Project chose his favourite Remake filmmaker and they received a selection of Northern films on DVD and the opportunity for a cameo in Richard’s upcoming Atonement Redux for Festival of Thrift.

The winner of the Remake A Take DIY Film Challenge was Middlesbrough based Andy Winward and you can see his Get Carter remake below.
