I attended the first NFM Trainee Boot Camp straight out of university. I had learned the skills that I needed to work in costume during my time at university but I still didn’t know anything about working in the TV and film industry as a crew member. The boot camp taught me chain of command on a TV/film set, how to act, who to approach, how to read a call sheet etc and this information has come in useful.’

‘I learned about the Crew on a TV or Film set and what each person’s job is. I also learnt about working your way up in that type of industry and what would happen on a normal day of filming.’

Our next Boot Camp will be in Newcastle on 12th February. To register your interest please email info@nfmacademy.co.uk

Bootcamp is supported by ScreenSkills using National Lottery funds awarded by the British Film Institute (BFI) as part of the Future Film Skills programme.
