Aimed at artists and filmmakers this session will explore two core topics: using technology as a means of developing artistic and creative practice; and using the internet to develop audiences for your work in the ways most appropriate for it.
The session will be led by Tom Armitage – a technologist and designer who works across software, hardware and the internet. He has particular experience in the cultural and creative sectors, working and collaborating on projects such as Visualising Actors’ Motion with the Royal Shakespeare Company, building a Twitter bot with artist Erica Scourti for a show at the Wellcome Collection, and remixing a micro-story by author Jeff Noon into a physical machine.
