Sundance Institute Short Film Challenge

What's Next? Project 1324 and Sundance Institute are calling upon emerging filmmakers around the world to take on this question in a short film challenge.

The Sundance Ignite Fellows Programme is a competitive fellowship that provides opportunities for engagement, mentorship and industry exposure for emerging filmmakers (18-24 years of age) during the Sundance Film Festival and select opportunities throughout the following year. Sundance Ignite will select five of the 2016 Ignite Fellows through this short film challenge.

To participate, create and submit an original one to eight minute film exploring, What's Next?

The Institue wants applicants to use the following word palette to help inspire the submission:

  • Pure
  • Bold
  • Renegade
  • Independent
  • Innovative
  • Next Wave
  • Next Breed
  • Stylistically Adventurous

Sundance Institute will award an Ignite Fellowship to five filmmakers whose films embody these qualities and demonstrate artistic excellence.

Deadline: 16 November
