Northern Film & Media has today launched The Digital Bridge – a cross-media development opportunity for creative practitioners in the English regions.
Featuring a series of ideas labs, one-to-one mentoring and master classes, The Digital Bridge will stimulate the creation of innovative cross-platform film projects and develop a network of digital filmmakers.
Working closely with industry partners such as Six to Start, Hide and Seek, Film 4.0, Indiegogo and VODO, the programme will provide participants with the inside-track on the latest cross-media storytelling techniques, funding opportunities and commercial models.
20 talented and innovative individuals will be selected from the film, television, games, advertising, digital publishing, mobile and design industries and work in teams to develop a slate of commercially-viable projects.
“The Digital Bridge will encourage new cross-media collaborations and provide participants with the chance to hone their creative and commercial skills,” said Roxy Bramley Northern Film & Media's creative industries manager.
“The funding received from Creative England and ERDF will enable us to connect talent in the English regions to some of the leading lights in digital media through an intensive development programme.”
