Film London has opened applications for their Breakthrough strand at this year’s London Screenings.
The only export market dedicated to UK film, London Screenings (formerly known as LUFF) returns to the capital 22-25 June 2015. Now in its 12th year, the four-day export event will again provide a platform to celebrate and promote British films to the international market. London Screenings regularly attracts over 120 buyers from all world territories who come to see around 50 new British titles.
While the main event is invite-only, filmmakers who are seeking sales representation or festival exposure for their feature film can submit it to the Breakthrough strand for the opportunity to have it seen by a host of buyers, international sales companies and film festival directors.
Of 2014's eight Breakthrough titles, five have gone on to attract sales representation. These include Narcopolis (Altitude), Secret Sharer (Moviehouse) and The Hoarder (Genesis).
