BBC are recruiting for a Broadcast Assistant to work on Inside Out (North East), the weekly BBC1 programme producing award winning high quality current affairs journalism for the North East and Cumbria. The team also makes documentaries for regional and network transmission.
You will work as part of the production team to deliver outstanding, distinctive, multi-platform content. As well as providing administrative support across the department, you will use your media management skills, ingesting rushes and supplying cut material to other outlets.
You will be responsible for delivering value for money in the role through effective and efficient management of time and resources & help manage production budgets and schedules.
You will collate accurate information required for ensuring all deliverables are available in a timely manner to fulfill the commission and that post production paperwork is complete and accurate. The team works in a spirit of creativity and collaboration in which you’d be expected to make a full contribution.
The Ideal Candidate
You may have experience of working as a Production Management Assistant or in an administrative role with an interest in Current Affairs output.
You will have extensive experience of providing administrative support to others within a busy production environment along with the experience of working in a pressurised and challenging environment.
You will be able to demonstrate strong organisational and planning skills and manage conflicting demands to meet deadlines.
You will work well within teams, be a good communicator and hold good attention to detail when working in a fast paced environment.
