Chancellor George Osborne promised a games industry tax break during his Budget 2012 speech. But where do we go from here? How will it work? Who will benefit?
This workshop is intended to provide you with more information about how the tax break should work in practice and to ensure that your voice is heard in the consultations about the games tax relief with the UK Coalition Government.TIGA, the trade association representing the UK's games industry, wants to ensure that the tax break is effectively designed for the games industry and easy to use. As part of this they are holding a nationwide series of consultation workshops.
Working with Northern Film & Media, the Newcastle event will instigate a conversation with game development studios to discuss where to go from here. The event is being held in partnership with Grant Thornton LLP.
