Science Fiction thriller, ‘Sleepworking’ – one of the films funded by Northern Film and Media's ‘Shorted’ scheme – continues its strong festival run.
The film has screened at, or is an official selection for, fourteen international film festivals, including such diverse destinations as Estonia, Greece, Romania, Italy, Switzerland and North America. In addition to these successes the film has now picked up its first two awards at the Festival du Film Merveilleux et Imaginaire in Paris. ‘Sleepworking’ won both the festival's Prix du Meilleur Film and the Quiet Earth Prize.
Writer and director Gavin Williams has continued to receive support from NFM and was recently granted an award from the Market Access Fund to help attend the film's screening in LA at Screamfest 2013 – one of the most prestigious North American genre film festivals – where he will meet with key industry figures and promote the region on the international stage.
