Candle & Bell invite submissions for their latest series of short film nights. The popular events are returning this Autumn and will once again be held at Tyneside Cinema.
The October edition, taking place on Monday 5th, will be supported by Northern Film & Media and focuses on for short films with female protagonists. The organisers are looking for films that centre around an inspiring female character, have a new take on feminist issues, or challenge gender representation on screen. Submissions on other subsjects will be considered for future evenings.
Candle and Bell began their regular short film night in March 2014 with the purpose of bringing to members of the public and filmmakers together tocelebrate the wealth of talent and creativity in short filmmaking today.
With their Short Film Night Candle and Bell have solved the issue of local films rarely seeming to be screened in the region in which they were produced. Essential for North-East film-making talent and audiences alike.
