The deadline for Children's Film and Television Scripts to be submitted for the BAFTA Rocliffe New Writing Forum is fast approaching. The competition is open to all writers, resident in the UK or of UK citizenship with BAFTA and Rocliffe searching for new talent that demonstrates industry potential.
The extracts submitted must have a focus on content for children. This includes feature films, single dramas, mini-series, sitcom, comedy-drama and animation. The Forum will not accept submissions in the format of radio, theatre, magazine or game shows. Three projects will be selected to be showcased at an event at BAFTA and given industry introductions. Shortlisted writers will go on to be involved in a wide range of development opportunities including workshops and events.
In addition to the Children's Film and Television Script calls there are three more throughout the year: TV Drama, Comedy Writing, Film. All competitions are judged by a script selection panel, selected with for their proven expertise in that medium.
Deadline: Monday 27 July - Postal entries, 5pm and email entries, 10pm.
Fees: £12 (Please note: There is an additional fee of £10 to email entries)
