We are delighted to announce that Andy Jones has joined Northern Film & Media as Creative Industries Manager. Andy will be working with us during Roxy Bramley’s maternity leave.
Andy is an experienced producer and director who has worked in film since 1998. In recent years his credits include major series for BBC2 with Jonathan Dimbleby, a one-off Channel 4 specialist factual with Peter Tatchell and AS OLD AS MY TONGUE – an award winning independent music documentary which screened in over 30 countries worldwide. In addition to his work for NFM he co-directs Newcastle-based RADiO FiLM with producer and director Ashley Horner. Andy is also creative director of the ScreenStation collective. He is currently completing the feature documentary I SHOT BI KIDUDE, which previewed recently at the Durban International Film Festival and will launch worldwide in Spring 2015.
Andy will be running NFM’s talent development programmes and supporting creative companies through NFM’s funding streams. He will also manage NFM’s commissioning strands and is developing a range of collaborative projects with creative industry partners in the UK and internationally.
