Hosted by experienced costume designer Cathie Healy this event will look at all aspects of the Costume department, using the resources of The Tyne Theatre to do some practical theatre wardrobe exercises.
Cathie Healy started working in rep theatre at the Newcastle Playhouse in the early 1980s, and has since worked in all areas of the costume department from Dresser to Costume Designer. She crossed over to television in 1989, working in children's dramas BYKER GROVE, THE REVENGE FILES OF ALISTAIR FURY and MY PARENTS ARE ALIENS, and on dramas A TOUCH OF FROST and POIROT, soaps EMMERDALE and BROOKSIDE, and many of the Catherine Cooksons. Cathie currently runs a costume hire business for theatre, TV and film. She has extensive experience in all aspects of the industry including Dance Variety and Pantomime.

Eligibility: Please note that this class is for North East early career industry professionals. To take part in this class you must be based in the North East of England (County Durham, Northumberland, Teesside or Tyne and Wear).
