BBC Academy, NFM, Royal Television Scoiety North East and the Border Centre and BALTIC Centre for Contemporary Art are proud to announce the launch of the first Digital Cities season in the North East - a free and inspirational schedule of events for the region’s creative community, supported by Creative Skillset.
Running from 04-05 April 2017 at BALTIC Centre for Contemporary Art, Digital Cities NE offers an exciting selection of FREE and bespoke events in the creative heart of Gateshead. From practical hands-on workshops, to masterclasses, digital surgeries and exclusive keynotes - expect a timetable packed with inspiration, imagination and creative collaboration.
This is your opportunity to get clued up on digital trends, hands on with the latest technology and the inside track from industry leaders on how to get digital content commissioned, produced and distributed to audiences.
From a keynote panel with John Craven and the production team of BBC One’s most successful factual show Countryfile, to the inside track on animation with DC Thomson writer and former Viz Editor Alex Collier, it’s a schedule packed with inspiring speakers and exclusive insights.
There’s also the opportunity to get clued up on digital trends, hands on with the latest technology and the inside track on how to engage with audiences in the digital age with cutting edge workshops delivered by BBC Academy trainers, Picture Canning North, VRTGO Labs, the BFI and representing Creative Fuse North East, a team from Northumbria University’s world renowned School of Design.
