Alison Surtees, Learning Organiser for the UK's media and entertainment trade union BECTU, is offering half hour surgery slots to freelance creative practitioners in the North East on 23 May.
These advisory sessions are aimed at supporting freelancers with their career progression, from advice on training and skills development, to CV advice, or advice on opportunities to look for other work.
Only 5 places are available and we expect that these will be booked quickly.
When: Tues 23 May, 10am - 12.30pm (30 min slots)
Where: Laing Art Gallery (Café Laing, ground floor), New Bridge St, Newcastle upon Tyne NE1 8AG
Eligibility: to register for a session you must be working in the creative industries, paid or unpaid, for an average of at least 21 hours per week and have done so for at least one year. We folllow the DCMS definition of 'creative industries', which does not include performance or education roles.
