The North East of England has long been home to a strong, innovative and collaborative digital and games cluster. From this technical foundation the region has now become the home to a growing cluster of Virtual Reality (VR) businesses. This growing VR hub is supported by Gateshead Council, who has created a collaborative VR research and co-location facility call VRTGO Labs. This initiative has already attracted a number of businesses to locate in the premises including Vector 76, Secret Sauce, Hammer Head, Chronicles VR, Whisper Gibbon.
Secret Sauce are producing a free demo day for companies interested in finding out more about Virtual Reality and how implementing VR could add value to their businesses. This day will give delegates a chance to see how VR technology is being applied across various sectors such as games, films, automotive, construction, offshore, health care, for training, marketing, health and safety, etc. The day will involve an overview of the current and future applications of VR and the chance for companies to get some hands on (or heads on) VR experience. Refreshments will be provided and experts will be on hand to answer any questions.
