Final year students and recent graduates who want to get into the television industry are invited to attend a briefing event at Sunderland University on 12 March about applying to The Network at The Guardian Edinburgh International Television Festival. Representative of The Network will advise prospective applicants about how to fill in their applications and there will also be presentations from various industry figures about the benefits of taking part.
The Network is an amazing opportunity for delegates to immerse themselves over a four-day period in a variety of different areas of television. If accepted, you could work with the scriptwriters form Hollyoaks or researchers on Question Time, for example - or the Production team of Celebrity Juice or Sky News. The Network also attracts the attention of a number of production companies who attend specifically to talent spot. It runs from 25-28 August. For more information on The Network click here.
The Application Workshop runs twice: once in the afternoon (2.00pm) and once in the evening (6.00pm). This is the only briefing in the North East and is open to all recent graduates and all current final year undergraduates across the region.
