As part of Northern Film & Media and Channel 4’s The Artist’s Cut programme we will be running a series of workshops aimed at developing artists’ understanding of film. The workshops will cover story development, film business, production techniques and working with actors. Please note that these workshops are for artists rather than narrative filmmakers. Thanks to the support of our funders there is no charge for attendance but availability of places is limited.
Production Basics – Camera, Lighting and Sound Tips
In the third of these workshops Meerkat Films will lead an interactive session aimed at artists with limited knowledge of practical film production who wish to get a basic overview of essential camera, light and sound techniques. This will be a practical hands on workshop. Participants will come away with a stronger understanding of the production process from a creative and technical perspective.
Meerkat Films is a production company based in Newcastle-upon-Tyne. They specialise in TV and Film Production, with an impressive portfolio of TV docs and award winning dramas.
