Series director Ian A. Hunt and production manager Caroline Broome will lead an exploration of one of the most technically ambitious shoots ever to occur in the region. Made for Sky in the UK and National Geographic US by Pioneer Productions, the 'Flood' episode of Storm City was filmed at Tees Barrage International White Water Course on 3D cameras and involved an unprecedented simulation of the catastrophic damage that extreme natural forces can cause.

Aimed both at those interested in the cutting edge of cinematic technology and in logistically complex productions, this screening and Q&A event will offer invaluable first-hand insights into how this exceptionally ambitious production was organised and executed – in our region.

This event is presented by Northern Film & Media in partnership with Royal Television Society North East and the Border Centre, and with the kind assistance of Sky, Cineworld, Teesside University and Pioneer Productions.
