Salford Media Festival brings together a host of media professionals, ranging from traditional and new media content creators, to commissioners, producers, policy makers, broadcasters and academics.
The broad theme of Salford Media Festival is 'The future of broadcasting in an era of media convergence.' The festival will focus on the challenging and inspiring context of media making in all its forms, from main stream broadcast to newer online, as well as emerging hybrid environments. The changing face of UK local, regional and national media is also contextualised and explained in policy terms in key sessions at the festival.
Its large and eclectic range of attendees and contributors make the two main days of the festival an ideal networking and learning forum, with networking windows available throughout the programme.
Experts from the sector will provide a detailed exposition and lively critical examination of leading edge issues in digital media and their potential consequences in a raft of areas, such as technology, content sourcing, production, narrow and broadcasting, and evolving relationships with audiences and consumers. There are few better places to learn about and debate, in an entertaining and convivial atmosphere, what’s current and likely forthcoming in the UK media landscape.
