Losing the Plot #2 - Star & Shadow Cinema rural film retreat

As part of the Star & Shadow pop-up programme, Losing the Plot returns this June for its second edition, creating the perfect conditions for watching films that extend the possibilities of cinema.

Losing the Plot incorporates film screenings, discussions, reading material, walks, eating and camping, forming a very special and social opportunity to see alternative cinema in a deep rural setting.

The programme includes documentaries, feature films and artist film programmes, among which are two films from Patricio Guzman (Nostalgia for the Light and Battle of Chile), new features from Lisandro Alonso and Lav Diaz (Jauja and Norte, and End of History), as well as a 16mm and slide film installation, and outdoor screenings.

The event is family friendly: screenings are certificated, but Burnlaw has a great play area and plenty of space to explore.

When: Friday 19 June (5.30pm) – Sunday 21 June (4.30pm)

Where: Burnlaw Centre, Whitfield, Nr Hexham, Northumberland, NE47 8HF
