Northern Film & Media and BALTIC Centre for Contemporary Art are delighted to announce that Channel 4 have committed to commissioning a slate of Random Acts films from the North East through a partnership with NFM and BALTIC. Join Tabitha Jackson, Channel 4's commissioning editor for arts, for a Random Acts briefing on 13 March in Gateshead.
The session is open to all artists and filmmakers interested in submitting an idea to the Random Acts strand. It will provide an opportunity for creative talent to discuss their ideas in person with the Channel 4 commissioner responsible for bringing arts programmes ranging from Grayson Perry's In the Best Possible Taste and to How Clubbing Changed the World to the channel.
The broadcaster will work with Northern Film & Media and BALTIC Centre for Contemporary Art to identify new talent in the region and commission the series of broadcast shorts. The films may focus on any arts discipline and are designed to boost the representation of North East talent on Channel 4.
When: Wednesday 13 March. Doors 4.00pm for a 4.30 start; ends 6.30pm.
Where: BALTIC Centre for Contemporary Art (Level 1), Gateshead Quays, South Shore Road, Gateshead, NE8 3BA
