Peter Cowley, founder of The Social Media Factory founder and former managing director of digital media at superindie Endemol, will lead a cross-media workshop produced by Northern Film & Media on Tuesday 4 September at Newcastle’s Toffee Factory.
Attendees of Business Models for Cross-Media Projects will get the inside-track on monetising cross-media projects in the introductory lecture-style workshop which will feature case studies from film and TV. Key topics include realising new commercial partnerships, emerging business models, rights management, innovations in entertainment and multi-platform commissioning.
“Peter has a track-record of working with some the most high-profile media brands to develop cutting-edge digital media projects. The session will provide an opportunity for creative practitioners to gain insights on key creative and commercial issues in cross-media content creation,” said Roxy Bramley, Northern Film & Media’s creative industries manager.
The session is part of Northern Film & Media’s Digital Bridge programme of events funded by Creative England's Film Networks Fund and the European Regional Development Fund. Northern Film & Media is currently working with 20 creative practitioners to develop new commercial cross-media collaborations through the talent development initiative which was launched in May.
